Since I was a teenager, I had a fascination about accessories and fashion, I have always thought that jewelry is a powerful tool of self-expression and enhances the natural beauty in each person. Also, since I was a child, I have had a special connection with nature and everything that is natural; the textures, the colors, the sounds, the smells, everything you can perceive when you are in the middle of the forest, a beach, near a river or a lake, everything is unique and wonderful, I think that became stronger in me by having grown up in Costa Rica, a tropical country rich in nature, in Costa Rica you live every day very close to nature.
Over time, life take me to live life in other countries and lands, however, my passions have remained and inspired the future at which I wanted to take my career and personal life. That is why I decided to venture into jewelry design world and in this way capture the expression of my two passions, creating designs and pieces that are based on nature, combining colors and textures through the use of natural materials, including exotic woods and genuine natural stones. I’ve always had a love of natural materials, and noticed a white space in the jewelry market for quality styles made of wood and stones at an affordable price. So, I decided to fill that void by myself; that´s why we create quality, affordable and luxury designs that make fashion and its trends truly accessible.
This is me; this is Cindy Astúa, a lover of Costa Rica and other countries, a professional, a mother of two little boys, a dreamer, a believer, a resilient and passionate woman who strives for excellence in everything I do trying to use my talents to improve my live and the lives of others around me.

Corishia® brand is created in the depths of Costa Rica, a country known for its commitment to nature, the environment, and the preservation of natural resources. Costa Rica is a country at which 99% percent of its energy comes from natural sources such as hydrothermal, solar, wind, and geothermal. It holds 6% of world´s biodiversity in just 0.03% of the planet´s surface.
By featuring a tribute to our indigenous roots, Corishia®, which means “Natural” in the “Teribe” language of the Costa Rican Indigenous group known as Térrabas; is an initiative that offers artistic and exclusive designs, which are the result of the fusion between the uniqueness and beauty of exotic woods with natural gemstones.
At Corishia® we have always had a true love of nature, exotic woods, and natural genuine stones along with jewelry metalsmithing, so we noticed that we had the opportunity through the combination of these elements, to create quality, purposeful and affordable luxury products that make fashion and its trends truly accessible to a diverse world of consumers.
